Anambra FA Chairman, Iloenyosi Sends Emotional Condolence Message Over Galadima’s Death
Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, Chikelue Iloenyosi, has sent an emotional condolence message to the family of late Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, a former President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, who passed on Friday, 17 April, 2026, at the age of 74 years.
In the message which he personally signed and made available to newstsp.com.ng Iloenyosi, a former Nigeria International, equally commiserated with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Football stakeholders and the people of Kano State over Galadima’s passing.
“I wish to express my profound sadness over the passing of former Nigeria Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima.
“Alhaji Galadima was a towering figure in Nigerian football administration. His vision, integrity and tireless dedication played a pivotal role in the development of football in Nigeria. Under his leadership, the game witnessed remarkable growth, stronger structures, and renewed respect on the continent and beyond.
“His contributions to grassroots development, club football and the national teams remain a reference point for administrators across generations. Nigerian football has indeed lost a statesman and a father.
“On behalf of the Board, Congress, and entire football community in Anambra State, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Galadima family, praying that Almighty God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“We also commiserate with the entire Nigerian football family, the Nigeria Football Federation and all stakeholders who worked closely with him. May his legacy of service and patriotism continue to guide us as we strive to build on the foundation he laid.
