Youth minister commiserates with families of slain Iseyin youth

Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr Sunday Dare has expressed dismay, shock and sadness over the killing of some youth in Iseyin, Oyo State, even as he condoled with their families.
The youth were killed during a shoot out between customs and some drivers allegedly trying to evade being searched at the Iseyin border town in Oyo State.
The Minister described the incident as sad, unfortunate and a huge loss to their families, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.” I received the sad news of the unfortunate killing of the Youth in Iseyin, Oyo State by Custom officers with a huge sence of loss, pain and sadness. This incident is most unfortunate, sad, and avoidable. It’s so tragic that these promising youth were cut down in their prime”
The statement further said . “The life of every Nigerian is sacred and should be protected and not wasted. I call on security agents to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killing and bring the culprits to book.
My condolences to the bereaved families , I pray God comforts them, my deep thoughts are with them in these trying times, I urge them to take heart”.
