Adeboye pays tribute to late Christian Chukwu MFR
To the family, friends, and loved ones of the late Coach Christian Chukwu, I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of this legendary figure in Nigerian football.
As someone who has had the privilege of knowing and interacting with Coach Chukwu during his lifetime, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to you all.
Coach Chukwu’s dedication, commitment, and selflessness were qualities that defined his remarkable career as a player and coach. His passion for football was contagious and his contributions to Nigerian football are immeasurable as these are my fond memories of my interactions with Coach Chukwu, particularly during my time with Rangers International FC, Nigeria.
His guidance, mentorship and friendship had a profound impact on everyone that had the opportunity to share some moments with him as these also helped saved some life and career.
As the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, I am honored to have known Coach Chukwu and benefited from his wisdom and experience. His legacy will continue to inspire and motivate me to work towards promoting grassroots sports development in Nigeria and I will want to implore others to emulate these good conducts.
I pray that his soul rest in peace, the friends and families find solace in the memories of his achievements and the impact he had on Nigerian football shall be his guiding light in his grave.
