Benin Republic, ready for professional wrestling, says Wanvoegbe

President of Academie De Football Tabouurs FC D’ajarra; Mayor Germain Wanvoegbe who is leading the team of the newly formed Association Beninoise De Lutte Professionnelle saddled with the responsibility of introducing professional wrestling in Benin Republic has declared that there’s no going back towards ensuring that the mats man game have a foothold in the West African country.
Speaking shortly after his meeting with the Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya, he noted that his committee is working round the clock to ensure that the country join the league of professional wrestling even as he noted that as a football promoter and enthusiast, he knows the power of wrestling in turning the youths to meaningful citizens.
” I want to assure you that very soon Benin Republic will be taking the wrestling stage by storm. From Cotonou to Port Novo and other major cities in the country, we’ll ensure that our youths are kept busy through wrestling which is one of the most admired and loved sports by our country’s youths.
” It will interest you to know that our country boosts of talented traditional wrestlers and as such we’re not short of talents in the sports and with the plans of Pro-Wrestling Africa, we hope to turn some of them into world beaters within a short time
He noted that his country can no longer be left behind in the sports that creates employment to thousands of youths all over the world; saying that they’re ready to go.
He commended the leadership of Pro- Wrestling Africa for their efforts at ensuring that the game of wrestling is popularized in the continent, promising that he’ll provide them all the support needed to succeed in his country.
Meanwhile, scribe of Pro-Wrestling Africa ( PWA), Olusesan Olukoya said that the planned introduction of professional wrestling in Benin Republic is part of his body’s plan to ensure that the sports is introduced to all countries in the West African Sub- region which he says will serve as launching pad to extend it to other African countries where the sports is lacking.
