Ambassador Chigbolu. Applauds World Archery On Olympic Camp

The Vice President of the Nigeria Archery Federation (NAFED), Ambassador Augustine Chigbolu, has applauded the World Archery Federation on the decision to set up an Olympic Camp in Nigeria for the forthcoming 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

In welcoming the idea, Ambassador Chigbolu, described it as a good development and a big plus to Nigeria’s rising profile in world Archery.
Adding that the camp will further re-enforce the development of Archery not only in Nigeria but the entire sub-region of the continent as more youths will be interested in the sport.

While looking forward to a successful camping exercise in Nigeria, ambassador Chigbolu, stressed that the successful implementation of this Continental programme will further cement Nigeria’s vantage position to host more developmental programme from the World Archery Federation.

It would be recalled that the World Archery designated Nigeria to host the Youth Olympic Camp in preparation for the 2026 International Olympic Games.

This means that all qualified Archers from Africa, are to be camped in Abuja to enhance their performance for the forthcoming 2026 Youth Olympic Games competition.

Meanwhile, President of NAFED, His Royal Highness, Mohammed Baba Abdullahi, has advised Nigeria Archers to be good ambassadors of this great Nation by painting Nigeria in good light throughout the duration of the Continental camping exercise

“As good citizens of this great country, I expect you to be of good behaviour during this camping . As hosts, you must show good example before the visitors in speech, feeding and dressing.

“You must also be aware that Nigeria’s right to host more international events depends largely on the success of this camp”
