Unveiling of Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions, sign of better deal for boxers – Chief Emeka Agba

Chief Executive Officer of Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions, Chief Emeka Agba says the unveiling of his promotion outfit will see to regular boxing promotions in the country as well as encourage better package for boxers.
Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions, a subsidiary of Chief Emeka Agba Foundation was officially unveiled with a six bouts thriller on Sunday, November, 11 at the Brai Ayenote Boxing Hall of the National Stadium Surulere Lagos.
According to him, his decision to venture into boxing promotion is to change the narratives of professional boxing in the country, move the game forward, ensure that fighters get the desired attention as well as discover talented fighters whom he will help to achieve their full potentials in the game.
” Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions have come to stay and we’ll continue to organise regular fights in order to keep our fighters busy as well as enable them garner the necessary exposure they require to excel”, began Chief Emeka Agba who is the (Odagbulu ife Dagbulu Enyi of Igboland).
” What I saw today is an evidence that we have the fighters who can make us proud both nationally and internationally and with the support of the NBB of C, we’ll continue to organise regular fights and encourage the boxers to be at their best at all times as that’s the only way they can become world beaters
” As part of my efforts to take boxing to another level, we would soon build a world class gym that will be equipped with the most modern facilities where boxers will train in a conducive environment to be on top of their game at all times.
” We shall also encourage talented boxers by helping them get necessary exposure and help them have a crack at world titles in various weight categories and I believe this is achievable because we have the boxers that can make us proud and become the latest Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather”, he stressed.
Also speaking, Secretary General of Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C), Remi Aboderin commended Chief Emeka Agba for joining the growing list of promoters in the country positing that Nigeria professional boxing will benefit immensely from his coming into the game.
Aboderin who also doubles as President of West African Boxing Union ( WABU) noted that the NBB of C is always available to partner with promoters in order to move the game forward; saying that the many fights the board sanctioned this year is an evidence that the game is becoming more interesting.
