The partnerships bring together leading brands across hydration, energy, infrastructure, health and wellness, media and aviation as Enugu prepares to welcome elite athletes, recreational runners, officials, spectators and sports tourists for the marathon.

Aquafina Premium Drinking Water, a brand of Seven-Up Bottling Company, has been named the Official Refreshment Partner and will provide hydration support for participants across the 42-kilometer course.

Strategically positioned hydration stations, finish-line recovery areas and runner support points will help ensure athletes have access to hydration throughout the race.

Nilayo Sports Management Limited said securing a refreshment partner with the capacity and quality to support a major international marathon is an important component of delivering a world-class race experience, with Aquafina’s association with hydration and healthy living complementing the marathon’s emphasis on wellness and endurance.

Pinnacle Oil & Gas joins the event as Official Energy Partner, supporting key event infrastructure, operational logistics and fan zones during the marathon. The partnership also reflects Pinnacle Oil & Gas’ commitment to economic development, youth empowerment and sports development, particularly within South-Eastern Nigeria.

According to Nilayo Sports Management Limited, Pinnacle Oil & Gas brings qualities of reliability, strength and momentum that align with the endurance and determination required of marathon runners, while its support will contribute to the seamless delivery of race-day operations.

African Pits and Quarries (APQ) has also joined as an Official Corporate Partner, bringing its experience in infrastructure and industrial development to the event. APQ’s support will contribute to route preparation, event production and community engagement initiatives surrounding the marathon.

Power Oil joins the Enugu City International Marathon as a partner with a focus on promoting heart health, wellness and active living. The brand’s involvement will include wellness activations, healthy lifestyle education and engagement with runners, families and spectators during the marathon expo and race-day activities.

Nilayo Sports Management Limited said Power Oil’s participation reinforces the wider purpose of the marathon beyond elite competition by using sport as a platform to encourage healthier and more active lifestyles among Nigerians.

Afia TV and Radio has been unveiled as the Official Media Partner and will provide extensive coverage of activities surrounding the marathon. The partnership will include pre-race programming, athlete interviews, race-day coverage and real-time updates across television and radio.
