Five star performance! That was what Super Falcons put up to beat co hosts Australia by 3-2 in Brisbane.

With the victory, the Super Falcons climb to the top of their group and would need only a draw against Ireland in their last game of the group to land in the second round.

The Falcons had to come from behind to secure the sweet victory over Australia.

Australia went ahead through Van Edmond late in the first half only for the Falcons to respond before the end of the half.

The Falcons returned in the second half firing on all cylinders and got their goals courtesy of the efforts of Kanu and Oshoala. A late goal by Australia didn’t change anything as the encounter ended 3-2.
