Boye Nation/JAF Movement Mega Concert: Makinde Carpets APC’s Alli, Urges Him To Focus On Campaign
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has advised the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli, to channel his energy towards the 2027 governorship election rather than criticising his administration.
Makinde gave the advice at the Boye Nation/JAF Movement Mega Concert held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The governor urged Alli to focus on his campaign and contest against the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate, Mr. Bimbo Adekanbi, instead of directing his attention towards attacking the state government.
Makinde also said that his administration’s performance in Oyo State would ultimately influence the choice of voters in the 2027 election.
The mega concert, themed “Young, United, Unstoppable (YUU),” also served as a platform for the formal reception of popular Ibadan-based political organiser, Mr. Ajiboye Akande Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, and his supporters from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Sangogade, an ally of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, led thousands of his supporters from the APC into the APM at the event.
The colourful concert featured performances by Fuji stars, including Alhaji Taye Currency, Tiri leather, and Babatunmise, among other artistes.
The event was attended by prominent APM leaders, as well as the party’s governorship, deputy governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and Oyo State House of Assembly candidates.
The event which was widely attended by dignitaries which includes market leaders , traditional chiefs and artisans was climax by the defection of prominent APC leaders into the APM.
Governor Seyi Makinde however urged his supporters not to be distracted by the noise of the the opposition but to remain focus until victory is achieved .
” I urged you to remain focus and not be distracted until we achieve victory , the opposition will entice you with material things but don’t be distracted with whatever they offer you ”
“The APM is the only party that have the interest of the masses at heart and this is the time to let the opposition know that Nigerians is in control , therefore when the election comes show them that you have the power” Makinde said.
