Cape Verde 2020: Ivorian youth clubs set for Africa Youth Cup

Everything points to a successful outing next year for the Africa Youth Cup international soccer tournament in Cabo Verde. Africa Youth Cup team just returned from the Ivory Coast where they went to show appreciation to the Ivorian teams that attended the maiden edition recently in Cape Verde and to promote the 2020 edition.
Our visit coincided with TIDA, another international youth soccer tournament in Africa organized by Ivoire Sports Promotions holding in the Ivory Coast annually and pulling weight in the continent also.
It was a great joy to felicitate with the Ivorian teams, including the Africa Youth Cup champions Volcan Junior Academie and Deportivo Football Academy.
May we use this opportunity to thank these reputable teams from the Ivory Coast including all the other teams from Nigeria, Pawas Academy, Bayelsa Starlets, SL Benfica from Portugal, and the national U16 teams A & B of Cape Verde, Sotavento and Barlavento respectively for making Africa proud through their sacrifice by ensuring that a tournament of this magnitude took root in the continent through their participation, Mr. Godson stressed.
We are also glad to announce the return of the champions Volcan Junior Academie of the Ivory Coast to Cape Verde for the 2020 edition of the Africa Youth Cup to defend the glamorous trophy won during the maiden edition in April 2019. The champions are to be joined by Deportivo Football Academy also from the Ivory Coast.
Mr. Godson Abba Ekadi of the Africa Youth cup team also confirmed a meeting with the DG Asec Mimosas of the Ivory Coast Mr. YOU Benoit for a possible participation in the Cape Verde 2020 tournament.
The great Asec Mimosas is a legendary African pride and the breeding ground of some of the brightest African stars like the great Ben Badi Abdoulaye Traoré, the Toure brothers, Yaya and Kolo Toure, Didier Zokora, Salomon Kalou‎, Bakari Koné, etc.‎
In line with the Africa Youth Cup vision to project African football academies in global focus through the tournament, it would be a great pride to the entire continent to have Asec Mimosas competing with some of the best youth teams from around the globe in Cape Verde.
Our goal is to ensure that this tournament offers offshore career opportunities for the participants and promote the image of the participating Clubs globally. We encourage other well-structured teams in Africa to toe the line of Asec Mimosas by registering for the 2020 edition of the prestigious Africa Youth Cup ‎and become members of the Africa Youth Cup family.

CS Maritimo of Madeira Portugal, SL Benfica Portugal, Pawas Academy and United Boys FC Nigeria, Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy Zambia, Finic Football Club and Volta International Academy Ghana, KZN Stars South Africa, and Fondation Raphael Foe Cameroun.
