Commonwealth Games : Samuel Ogazi Wins 400m Gold

Samuel Ogazi, Saturday, increased the gold tally of Nigeria at the ongoing 2026 Commonwealth Games to 10.

He produced a brilliant 44.25-second run to win the race and confirm the country’s growing profile in athletics.

Ogazi, finished well ahead of Trinidad and Tobago’s Jereem Richards, who claimed silver in 44.82s, while South Africa’s Zakithi Nene took bronze in 45.21s.

Nigeria’s second finalist, Edidiong Okon Udo, finished eighth in 45.81s.
