Diri’s 5th anniversary celebration: Former President, Jonathan set to flag off new Bayelsa stadium project
Sports loving Bayelsa state governor Douye Diri has disclosed that former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan would next week flag off the construction of a new 25,000 capacity stadium in Yenagoa.
Diri made this disclosure at the celebration today of his 5th anniversary in power.
The governor noted that because of the abundant sporting talents in the state, his administration will constructing a 25,000-seat FIFA-standard stadium.
“The stadium project would be flagged off by Dr. Jonathan on Monday,” Diri stated while reeling out the several other achievements of his administration.
The governor had some days back during the memorial service of his late father in Sampou said his vision is to leave behind a better Bayelsa and a better society at large.
