As most christians all over the world celebrates father’s day today Sunday, 21st June 2026, and
worried by the level of moral decadence in the society, Rev. Uzoma Uzoeshi, PhD has advised fathers all over the world to be kingdom builders, as a way of making the world a better place for all and sundry.
Uzoeshi who’s the President, Imo Baptist Conference disclosed this in his well articulated felicitation address to the Men’s Missionary Union (MMU), Imo Baptist Conference.
The revered man of God who also prayed for God’s grace and peace to all fathers, pointed out that, “on this Sunday, 21st June 2026, as Baptist Churches across Imo State in particular and Nigerian Baptist Convention at large celebrate Father’s Day, I felicitate with Imo Baptist Conference MMU Chairman, Bro. Ikenna Anyanwu and every father, guardian, and mentor in the Men’s Missionary Union of Imo Baptist Conference”.
He further informed that this year’s theme, is “fathers as Kingdom Builders” which is drawn from the biblical books of Hebrews 4:3 and 1 Corinthians 3:9-11, and its messages carries deep significance for our homes, churches, and the society at large.
Uzoeshi disclosed that the biblical book of Hebrews reminds mankind that those of them who believes in Christ, enter His rest and work from a place of faith, even as Paul in his letter to the Corinthians declared that father’s are God’s fellow workers, and Christ Jesus is the only foundation.
He reminded father’s that they are not just providers, but rather builders on the foundation of Christ, insisting that their prayers, discipline, integrity, and instruction lay stones in the lives of their children and in the church.
“A kingdom father builds what outlives him. Your labour in the Lord is never in vain”.
The servant of Most High God passionately advised the boys and young men to watch the fathers around them, reiterating that the character you see in them today becomes the blueprint for their tomorrow.
He also canvassed on the need for young men to embrace godly fatherhood early, so as to learn the acts of diligence, responsibility, and faith early enough.
To the church and society, Uzoeshi reminded them that strong fathers build strong families, and strong families build a strong nation.
“When fathers take their place as kingdom builders, we see unity, justice, and holistic mission take root in our communities.
“I celebrate, every father who is standing in the gap, preaching by example, teaching by life, and praying without ceasing. Your service matters to God and to the next generation” he re-assured.
He expressed gratitude to God for the fathers of Imo Baptist Conference and the Nigerian Baptist Convention, as they celebrates their 2026 Father’s Day.
The Ambassador of Christ fervently prayed that God should strengthen father’s for the afore stated sacred works, and grant them wisdom to build on Christ as the sure foundation, and the grace to endure the pruning and building seasons, as well as granting them the joy to ripe the fruits of their labours.
He encouraged father’s to ensure that their homes be altars, their lives be testimonies, and their legacy be generations that serve God in truth, righteousness and holiness.
Uzoeshi while wishing them happy Father’s Day 2026, he also enjoined them to go forth and build for the Kingdom of God, as the sacred duty for mankind.
