NPFL: Anambra FA boss hails IMC over good start to new season

By George Aluo

Chairman of Anambra FA, Chikelue Iloenyosi has given a pat on the back to the league Interim Management Committee (IMC) for starting the league on a good note.

Iloenyosi in a letter addressed to IMC chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye stated that his state FA is proud of the way the league body started the abridged 2023 season.

Below is the content of the letter which Iloenyosi personally signed…

“We (Anambra FA) write to commend the league’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) over the splendid start of the Nigeria Professional Football League  (NPFL) this season.

As the host FA of the Rangers vs Abia Warriors Matchday 1, we write to state that we were impressed with the level of officiating and all the other technical and organizational steps taken by the IMC to ensure the league is taken to the next level.

We also want to appreciate the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board led by Ibrahim Gusau for its support to the IMC.

We urge you and your team to keep it up as the season progresses.

From what we have seen from day one, we are convinced the IMC is out to turn things around.

Count on the support of Anambra FA in this onerous task of rebranding our league.

Accept assurances of our highest sporting esteem.

Chikelue Iloenyosi

Anambra FA Chairman.”
