Friday Night Matches back in EuroMatchNPFL as MBI acquires Digital Production Assets

More games of the 2026/27 of the EuroMatchNPFL season would be broadcast live as the league organisers have rescheduled the fixtures to accommodate Friday night matches.
This is as the broadcast partners, Murphy Ben International took delivery of another set of state-of-the-art production equipment that would see new regional products centres that would ease logistics worries.
In a memo to the EuroMatchNPFL clubs Chairmen and General Managers, Dr. Ayo Abdulrahman, the Chief Operating Officer explained that there was a need to provide the broadcast partners access to more game days which was not possible under the framework of the original fixtures.
Starting with Matchday 8, fans can enjoy three live games from Katsina on Friday night and Saturday and Sunday from Kano where Ranchers Bees and Barau FC will play with visiting opponents.
In the memo dated October 2, 2026 and addressed to clubs leaderships, Abdulrahman disclosed that the decision was an outcome of project meetings with the broadcast partners.
“After several meetings with the broadcast partners, Murphy Ben International, and AfroSoccer, it was agreed that for fair and balanced coverage, clubs will be grouped in regional clusters to limit the logistics of travelling with fairly big outside broadcast equipment over long distances.
“Furthermore, it has been resolved to introduce Friday kickoff, Friday nightmatches, early kickoff on Saturdays, and Sundays at applicable venues”, the COO explained.
Olatunji Ayodele, the Team Lead for MBI announced the recent acquisition of the “Sony PXW-Z200 cameras, which is part of their compact digital architecture designed for speed, flexibility and rapid deployment to capture matches and deliver individual feeds over IP, while the OSEE GoStream Duet 8 ISO provides local switching, monitoring and recording”.
He explained that the
digital approach significantly reduces the physical footprint traditionally associated with outside-broadcast production.
“Instead of relying on a large OB truck and extensive cabling infrastructure, MBI can deploy a mobile, modular production system that can be transported and configured quickly at different NPFL venues. The result is a more nimble production model that combines professional camera acquisition, IP-based contribution, local production and resilient internet connectivity—allowing MBI to scale its coverage while responding efficiently to the demands of live football production”, Ayodele told NPFL Media.
