Africano Fc Saturday put up an impressive performance in their friendly match against Luba Fc

The match which was played at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos saw both teams trying to out play each other but this was not to be as their solid defensive network ensured that no side conceded any goal to end the game goalless.

The performance of Africano was an improvement from their last friendly match against Ighalo Fc which they lost 0-2; a result that was attributed to lack of confidence and composure in their defensive line.

Speaking on the match President of Africano Futebol Clube, Rev. ( Amb) Samuel Ikpea, said that although he would have been happier seeing his team emerging victorious but their goalless draw was not a bad result as the team performed better than what they did in their last match

Ikpea while rueing their missed chances, charged both the coaching crew and the players to be more business like in their next matches in order to post good results.

” I want to commend the team for playing better today and not losing two consecutive matches at a row. Although, I would have loved them to beat their opponent but getting a draw is not bad.

” My advice to the coaching crew and the entire team is that they must up their game and have that winning mentality in them so as to post good results in the remaining friendly matches” , noted Ikpea who also doubles as National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club.

The friendly match is part of the building process the Brazilian-affiliate  club
is undergoing in order to make it a force to be reckoned with in Nigerian football.
