Georgia Classic Wrestling Seeks Strategic Partnership With Pro- Wrestling Africa
..Proposes International Championships, Wrestler Exchange, Training Programmes and Joint Promotional Initiatives

Georgia Classic Wrestling (GCW, Inc.), based in Dublin, Georgia, United States of America, has expressed its interest in establishing an international strategic partnership with Pro- Wrestling Africa (PWA) to promote the development, growth and global recognition of professional wrestling.
In a formal proposal letter signed by Chris Nelms, President and Chief Executive Officer of GCW, the American wrestling organisation highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the United States and Africa through international sporting cooperation, talent development and joint promotional activities.
According to the letter, the proposed collaboration is aimed at creating new opportunities for wrestlers, promoters, coaches and other industry stakeholders while expanding the international reach of both organisations.
GCW acknowledged PWA’s commitment to advancing professional wrestling across Africa, noting that closer cooperation between the two organisations could provide a platform for meaningful exchanges between the American and African wrestling communities.
Under the proposed partnership, GCW identified seven major areas of cooperation, beginning with the joint organisation of international wrestling championships, tournaments, exhibitions and special events featuring wrestlers from the United States, Africa and other parts of the world.
The proposal also seeks to establish wrestler exchange programmes that would enable athletes from both organisations to participate in international competitions, training camps, promotional tours and wrestling showcases.
Another key area is technical development, with GCW proposing workshops, seminars and professional training programmes for wrestlers, coaches, referees, managers and promoters.
The initiative is expected to encourage knowledge-sharing and strengthen professional standards within the industry.
Youth development and talent discovery also feature prominently in the proposal. Both organisations are being encouraged to explore initiatives that would identify emerging wrestlers and provide opportunities for mentorship, training and career development.
In addition, GCW proposed joint media and marketing initiatives, including digital content, interviews, publicity campaigns and promotional activities designed to increase the international visibility of both organisations and their athletes.
The partnership would further explore sponsorship and commercial opportunities by identifying potential corporate partners, investors and supporters capable of financing wrestling events and other development projects.
The seventh area focuses on institutional cooperation and international networking, with opportunities for both organisations to participate in wrestling conventions, conferences, industry meetings and other engagements aimed at promoting professional relationships and exchanging ideas.
As part of the next steps, GCW has proposed a formal meeting with the leadership of Pro Wrestling Africa in early 2027 to discuss the partnership proposals, identify common objectives and establish a framework for cooperation.
The organisation has also expressed its willingness to work towards a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would clearly define the roles, responsibilities and commitments of both parties.
According to the proposal, the envisaged partnership could provide a foundation for sustained international cooperation, cultural exchange, talent development and the expansion of professional wrestling beyond geographical boundaries.
The proposed initiative represents an opportunity to explore stronger institutional links between professional wrestling stakeholders in the United States and Africa.
For PWA, a potential partnership with GCW could open further avenues for international exposure, athlete development, event promotion and engagement with the wider global wrestling community, subject to mutually agreed plans and available resources.
For GCW, the proposed relationship could provide a platform for closer engagement with African wrestling organisations and athletes while encouraging cross-continental exchanges and joint initiatives.
Although the proposal remains subject to discussions and agreement between the organisations, the planned meeting in early 2027 could mark an important step towards determining the practical scope of the proposed collaboration.
The initiative underscores the shared potential of international partnerships to create opportunities for wrestlers, strengthen professional networks and contribute to the long-term development of professional wrestling worldwide.
