Supreme Court Victory: Okumagba congratulates Governor Oborevwori, urges him to support sports development
Founder and National President of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Vincent Okumagba has congratulated the Delta state Governor, Rt.Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori over his victory at the Supreme Court, which affirmed him as the dully elected Governor of the state.
Prince Vincent from the Okumagba Royal dynasty of Warri said he believes that Governor Oborevwori will not disappoint Deltans as Governor in development.
He pointed out that there are people who have been in power but failed to do the needful because they don’t understand the nature of Delta state.
“Rt.Hon Sheriff Oborevwori should understand the yearnings of Deltans as a pure Warri pekin. He should take sports seriously as means of human development and empowerment as well as security, environmental and city beautification.”
Okumagba who doubles as the Vice President of Africa’s Football Supporter’s body also commended Hon. Kenneth Nwaomucha led board of the Delta state football association, (DFA) for reviving youth sports and building confidence in the people.
He expressed hope that the Governor would develop policies and action plans that will maximize the contribution of sport to national development; pointing out that aside from its entertainment value, sports has the proven capacity to teach participants life skills in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
