Gov. Diri Pays Condolence Visit To Egukawhore Family of Delta State

Governor of Bayelsa State Senator Douye Diri on Saturday, June 20, 2026, joined the bereaved Egukawhore family and other sympathisers at the funeral of Madam Patience Igho Egukawhore in Okpolo-Enhwe Town, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The late Madam Patience Egukawhore, who died at the age of 67, was the elder sister of his close friend and Chief Executive Officer of Wayles Group, High Chief (Dr.) Victor Emonena Wayles Egukawhore.

Speaking at the funeral, Gov. Diri, described the deceased as a woman of exemplary humility and deep family values, who left a legacy of practical love and service to her people.
He noted that she will be fondly remembered for her warm personality and commitment to the unity and progress of her family and community even as he prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the Egukawhore family and her loved ones.
The solemn occasion had in attendance political and traditional leaders from Bayelsa and Delta states, underscoring the strong inter-state bonds between both states.
They included the wife of Governor of Delta, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Chief Fred Agbedi (Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency), his Nembe/Brass counterpart, Mrs. Marie Ebikake, as well as their colleague representing Burutu Federal Constituency of Delta State Hon. Julius Pondi, and the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, Chief Kestin Pondi, among other dignitaries.
