GRASOF APPOINTS STALLIONPOLE MEDIA AS SPONSORSHIP MOBILISATION CONSULTANT FOR SENATE PRESIDENT U-18 UNITY CUP

..Partnership targets corporate support and sustainable investment in grassroots football

The Grassroots Sports Federation (GRASOF) has appointed StallionPole Media Limited as Tournament Support and Sponsorship Mobilisation Consultant for the Senate President U-18 National Unity Cup.

The appointment is aimed at expanding the tournament’s corporate support base, strengthening stakeholder participation and attracting sustainable investment into grassroots football and youth development.

The 2026 edition, organised by GRASOF in collaboration with the Office of the President of the Senate, is scheduled for October 25 to November 1, 2026, in Akwa Ibom State.

The tournament seeks to promote talent discovery, youth empowerment, national unity and sports development.

Speaking on the appointment, GRASOF National President and Tournament Coordinator, Hon. John Bassey Ekpenyong, said:

“The Senate President U-18 Unity Cup is much more than a football competition. It is an investment in the future of Nigerian youths and a deliberate platform for talent discovery, youth empowerment, unity and national development.”

He said StallionPole’s appointment would help connect the tournament with credible corporate organisations and institutions capable of supporting its long-term sustainability.

The CEO of StallionPole Media Limited, Hon. Anieokpon Ekpo, described the appointment as an opportunity to contribute to youth development through sport.

“Our responsibility is not simply to look for sponsors; it is to build meaningful partnerships that create value for sponsors while delivering measurable impact for the young people at the heart of this tournament.”

Ekpo also commended the President of the 10th Nigerian Senate, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Godswill O. Akpabio, for what he described as a “lofty and intentional vision” aimed at promoting and developing grassroots football in Nigeria.

He said that StallionPole Media Limited is inviting corporate organisations, banks, telecommunications companies, oil and gas firms, government agencies, sports brands, development partners, foundations and philanthropists to partner with the tournament.

According to him, Sponsors will benefit from strategic brand visibility, media exposure, community engagement, tournament branding and other activation opportunities.

Meanwhile, GRASOF and StallionPole Media Limited have reaffirmed their commitment to making the Senate President U-18 Unity Cup a sustainable platform for discovering and nurturing Nigeria’s next generation of football talents.
