NPFL CLUB OWNERS WISH NIGERIANS HAPPY NEW YEAR

Nigeria Premier Football League Club Owners Association is wishing its members and Nigerians a happy New Year.

In a statement signed by the elite football league clubs management chairman, Chief Okey Kpalukwu, the body thanked God for a new year and for witnessing a league season that has the potential to be the best in Africa.
“The year 2023 has come and gone, we thank God for keeping us alive to see another year. So much happened last year and as Club Owners, we experienced a lot of positives and some low moments that are normal in life. In all situations, God taught us to give thanks. So we thank Him for sparing our lives, while we commiserate with members who lost their relatives and staff. May their souls rest in peace”.
The Rivers United General Manager also used the opportunity to thank football fans for supporting the NPFL while admonishing then to be of best behaviors whenever their teams are not doing well.
“In 2024, we’re looking forward to the conclusion of a season that Nigerians will be proud of and a deserved champion will be crowned. I am aware that the NPFL board is leaving no stone unturned to achieve this”, he concluded.
The 2023/24 NPFL season will resume this weekend after a short break for the Christmas.
