Guardiola congratulates Arsenal, says Gunners deserve Premier League title

By Ifeanyi Eduzor, with agency report

Man City manager, Pep Guardiola was one of the first to congratulate Arsenal after his side’s title challenge ended on the south coast.

“[I need to] congratulate Arsenal, Mikel and the backroom staff, the fans for the Premier League which they deserved,” he said in his press conference.

It would be noted that Man City Tuesday night failed to beat Bournemouth in a match that ended 1-1.

That result effectively crowned Arsenal champions of England with a game to spare.

Arsenal enter their last game on Sunday with 82 points while City have 78. So whatever happens on Sunday second position placed City can no longer catch up with the Gunners who have endured a 22- year wait for the title.
