Imo people deserves economic independence, Akagburuonye

Worried by high level of poverty among Nigerian populace and the need to alleviate the sufferings, Barr. Success Akagburuonye said he has the Midas touch to make Imo State citizens to be economically independence through massive job creations and entrepreneurship.

Akagburonye who’s the National President, Hope Rising for Imolites Foundation (Olile Anya Di, Maka Odinma Ndimo), a deep rooted grassroot sociopolitical organization disclosed this on Monday at the Assemblies of God Church auditorium Ogbor Uvuru, in Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State, while flagging off his philanthropically sponsored empowerment training programmes for Imolites across the 27 council areas of the State.

The multi talented training programmes which he said is costing him multi million Naira are specially designed to equip and empower over 200 participants with practical skills in paints production technology, makeup artistry, catering, ultra modern decorations, detergent productions, business development plans etc.

He said it point blank that as a philanthropist, the two weeks intensive training programmes is one of his strategic means of cushioning the effects of global economic imbalance being experienced in Nigeria by most Imo citizens.

According to him, ” I have said it loud and clear and I will repeat it to the hearing of
everyone here today, I am not a professional politician nor a typical Nigerian politician, meaning I have my means of livelihood, already sustaining me, my family and dependents.

“I wish to contaminate all my followers with the virus that makes one to be self-confident, rely on God for his/her sustenance, trusting that God has the time
table of your life, talk to Him and trust Him for all impossibilities can be made possible, then work hard, fear God, do not be insensitive to the
the plight of others. Show love and care, be ready to make sacrifices to impact lives. Be a kingdom investor.

“I promised myself and I have confessed it that if I see any good thing in Imo state, I will attract it to Mbaise, if I see anything good outside Imo State, I will attract it
to the State. If I see anything good outside Nigeria, I will attract it to Nigeria” he assured.

The Imo State frontline governorship hopeful in 2027 reiterated his commitments in teaching Ndimo how to fish rather than giving them fish, even as he cautioned against sycophancy and betrayals.

Adding their voices, Mrs. Patience Mekwunye, leader of Pato-Binto Entrepreneurial and Skills Acquisition Abuja,, the organization handling the training programmes and Mr. Muhammed Ibn Saheeb, Director of Projects, listed six key areas of training that includes paints production technology, makeup artistry, decoration, catering, household chemical productions including detergent, soap making, and entrepreneurship education.

The training they said will also cover business planning, marketing concepts, and mindset development.

Mekwunye stressed that entrepreneurship education is a conduit for nation-building. “No nation survives without entrepreneurship,” she said.

She further informed that the participants will equally learn how to identify entrepreneurs, why businesses fail, and how to write viable business plans, while commending Akagburuonye for his philanthropic gestures in human capacity building.

Also speaking, Hon. Uche Ewuruigwe, Project 2027 Orlu Zonal Coordinator of Hope Rising for Imolites, and Mrs. Meg Anosike, Chairperson of Imo Women for Success, described Akagburuonye as a divine gift to Imo people, and humanity at large.
