IWD: Oyo Woman of the Year, Tinu Smith Fetes Women, Unveils Plan To Empower 50

Marking the 2023 International Women’s Day, the recipient of the Oyo State Woman of the Year award, Tinu Smith, has felicitated with women across Oyo State urging them to stay positive and open to new ideas.

In a statement issued by Tinu Smith to commemorate the IWD and made available to the Ibadan Media, the CEO of Datina Designs admonished Oyo Women to go out of their comfort zones and embrace new ideas.

“Women are special! We are strategic in God’s plan! We are incubators of great ideas, and we are all wired for impact. Let us arise and step out of our comfort zones into the territories God has mapped out for us. The era of playing small has gone.”

“Let us make our great Oyo State beautiful by spreading our light and love throughout our state and beyond! We are change makers! Carriers of great light and hope. The world is waiting for our manifestation. We are the voice of change needed for this season.”

“Let us rise and shine.  Always remember you are a woman! Wonderful and beautifully created, you are a wonder!

Happy International Women’s Day!” she concluded.

Remember that, Tinu Smith emerged as the 2022 Oyo State woman of the year at the 6th edition of the Oyo State Most Influential Award Series, an event put together by Ibadan Media Ltd, earlier this year.

To celebrate this year’s IWD, Most Influential Personalities Awards Empowerment Programme (MIPA-EP) an arm of Oyo State Most Influential Award Series, together with the 2022 Oyo State Woman of the Year, will be organizing an A-Day Empowerment program for the women in the State to celebrate this year’s IWD.

The convener of the event, Mr. Olalekan Olanrewaju Ola, noted, that this is going to be one of its kind in the history of Oyo State.

The program is titled: FINANCIAL LITERACY FOR WOMEN. This event is targeted at youths, women, and young business entrepreneurs. The event will teach how to invest, save, and run a profitable business for women in business or startups. It will be held on April 1st, 2023, at the American Corner, Magazine Road, Jericho Ibadan.
