Kogi invitational wrestling LOC inaugurated

Organizers of the 2023 Kogi State invitational wrestling tournament has inaugurated the Local Organizing Committee ( LOC) for the championship slated to hold next year in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
The inauguration was done during the closing ceremony of the just concluded Edo State invitational wrestling championship which was rounded up Wednesday, August 10 at the Gymnasium Hall of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Members of the committee includes; Mrs. Justina Okoli, Secretary, Anambra State Wrestling Association, Mrs. Gladys Osogwu, Edo State Wrestling Organizing Secretary, Victor Oriakhi, Head Coach Edo State Wrestling Association, Emeka Obidinma, Director of Sports, Anambra State, Philip Momoh, head coach Kogi State Wrestling Association and Mr. Sesan Olukoya.
During the inauguration, the members of the committee were charged to ensure a successful hosting of the competition and put all logistics on ground before the commencement of the tournament aimed at developing the mats man game at the grassroots.
” We chose men and women of caliber who understands what it takes to organize a successful championship as members of the committee and we hope they will bring their wealth of experience to bear in the successful hosting of the tournament next year in Kogi State.
“As is the practise globally, members of the LOC are expected to hit the ground running immediately and ensure we have a successful championship and we believe they have the capacity to deliver and we look on to them to make it happen as we will not accept any excuse for failure and we believe they’ll not fail”, the statement concluded.
