JAGZ Kitty Group Wins Maiden Clash of Titan Golf Tourney
JAGZ Kitty Group has scored 186 points to win the overall best team in the maiden golf event tagged the Clash of Titans Golf Tournament hosted by one of the leading Kitty groups in the country, Different Strokes at Abeokuta Golf Club over the weekend.
SSG Kitty Group and AGC Jamz Kitty Group, both of Abeokuta came second and third respectively, as the Stableford scoring system was introduced by the organizer to decide the winners.
Golfers dared the early morning rain and engaged in a very exciting and competitive game of golf as the rain started as early as 6 am on Saturday morning and lasted for several hours.
Speaking to the journalists after the game inside the beautiful hall of Abeokuta Golf Club, the Chairman planning committee and a member of the host team, Barrister Tony Gbegbaje who is also a member of Different Strokes of Abeokuta Golf Club, praised his committee members for an excellent organization and also appreciated the kitty-group participated in the tournament.
He further explained that the tournament will be an annual event, adding “the Golf Mafia of Ikeja Golf will host the 2024 edition and the Val-Kitty of Tiger Golf Club, Ibadan will host the third edition in 2025 at the prestigious Tiger Golf Course”.
The committee members of the tournament were Bashorun Ladi Adegbite (Captain AGC), TPL Adewale Adeogun, Col. Ade Sumonu, lady Captain ABC Alaba, and Dayo Folarin.
Speaking in the same vein, Otunba Yomi Ojo of the Val-Kitty Group of Tiger Golf Club Ibadan, showered encomium on the host group for a wonderful outing and first-class hospitality provided for all the participants.
