ANFPU congratulates former Enyimba hitman, now Abia Sports Commissioner

By George Aluo

The All Nigeria Football Players Union ((ANFPU) has congratulated former Super Eagles and Enyimba forward, Karibe Ojigwe who was last week sworn in by Gov Okezie Ikpeazu as the new Abia Sports Commissioner.

The players body in a letter signed by its BOT chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi said Ojigwe’s appointment is a case of putting the right man in a position.

ANFPU while commending the Abia State governor for putting the right man in charge of Abia State tasked Ojigwe to ensure that he rises to the occasion by adding value to Abia sports.

The congratulatory letter read in part…”Having been an outstanding football player with a rich pedigree, your appointment certainly puts a round peg in a round hole…As we wish you a very successful tenure…we are excited at the prospect of working with you.”

It would be noted that the newly formed players union would be inaugurated on Wednesday in Abuja.
