One such personality at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is Mr. Emmanuel Ayanbunmi, a seasoned football administrator whose commitment to service has spanned more than three decades.
Mr. Ayanbunmi’s remarkable career at the Nigeria Football Federation reflects unwavering dedication, professionalism, and loyalty to Nigerian football.
His journey at the then Nigeria Football Association (NFA) began in the International Competitions Department under the leadership of Dr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba during the era when Dr. Amos Adamu served as the Sole Administrator of the NFA.
It was there that he laid the foundation for what has become an illustrious career in football administration.
Over the years, his service has traversed virtually every major department of the Federation, including International Competitions, Professional Football League, Women’s Football, National Competitions, and now the Protocol Department.
This wealth of experience has given him an exceptional understanding of the workings of Nigerian football administration.
Through hard work, discipline, integrity, and consistent excellence, Mr. Ayanbunmi steadily rose through the ranks to become the Head of Protocol at the Football House.
In his current role, he coordinates the movement, reception, and logistics of football officials, national teams, FIFA and CAF delegates, government dignitaries, and distinguished guests during local and international football engagements.
Whether it is a FIFA World Cup qualifier, a CAF competition, an international friendly, or any major football event involving Nigeria, Mr. Ayanbunmi ensures that protocol arrangements are executed with precision, professionalism, and excellence.
Beyond his current responsibilities, his extensive experience across the Federation has made him an invaluable asset to the NFF.
His deep understanding of football administration, competition management, league operations, women’s football, national competitions, and international engagements enables him to contribute significantly to the smooth running of the Federation.
