NAFED Announce 8-11 October Date for TIZOCATA International Open Archery Championship

The Nigeria Archery Federation (NAFED), has announced 8-11 October, 2026 as date for the 2026 TIZOCATA International Open Archery Championship. holding in Abuja
To this end, the Federation has advised all interested Archers/Athletes wishing to participate in the championship to apply formally to the Federation for registration.
A press statement from NAFED secretary General, Ayu Phillips informed that the competition will bring Archers, National teams, Clubs, Coaches, Technical officials and other stakeholders from Nigeria, Africa and beyond together under one umbrella.
It will provide participants with an opportunity to compete at an international level, improve their rankings, develop skills and promote friendship and unity through archery.
As part of its commitment to always encourage Nigerian Archers in events like this, the Nigeria Archery Federation has approved a special concession for registration fees and charges to cover accommodation, feeding and local transportation.
Meanwhile, the athletes have been encouraged to register promptly to enable the Organizing Committee to finalise arrangement on accreditation and other logistics associated championship.
All participants are expected to comply with the championship rules and regulations, accreditation procedures, competition rules safety standards and any other directives issued by the Nigeria Archery Federation and the Local Organizing Committee( LOC ).
Intending Archers should contact the NAFED Secretary General, Ayo Phillips, the
Technical Director, Sholademi Damilola and the National Captain, Aliyu Abubakar for further clarifications.
President of NAFED, Mohammed Abdullahi has called on Nigerian Archers to make the best use of this opportunity by registering promptly for the competition.
