Burglar arrested at Teslim Balogun Stadium

Vigilant security men attached to Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere Lagos, Wednesday mourning arrested a criminal who specializes in burgling facilities at the stadium.

The thief armed with various tools gained access to the hostels at the stadium where he successfully removed one of the air- conditioners but luck however ran out of him when vigilant security men cited him

In his attempt to escape, he jumped from the top floor of the one storey building; injuring himself in the process and was promptly arrested.

One of the security men who spoke to newstap.com.ng on condition of anonymity noted that they’ve been witnessing some burglary at the stadium which made them increase their surveillance in the whole facility that resulted in the arrest of the culprit.

He noted that it’s unfortunate that some able bodied youths who should think of better things to do are involving themselves in criminal activities just as he vowed that the security men at the stadium are capable of stopping such incident from happening again

The criminal who did not want to reveal his name, blamed hunger and poverty for the crime with an appeal to the stadium management to pardon him as he will turn a new leaf.

After interrogation, he was handed over to the Police for proper investigation and prosecution.
