NBPL : Raptors Edge Comets 69-64, as Rivers Hoopers dismantles Hoops & Read

The Raptors secured their first victory in the Nigeria Men’s Basketball Premier League, defeating Comets 69-64 in a tightly contested clash at the Ibadan Centre.
Raptors set the tone early, dominating the first quarter 20-10. Comets fought back in the second quarter, powered by a strong 26-23 run to cut the deficit before halftime.
Raptors regained control in the third, outscoring Comets 12-9. Despite a 19-point outburst from the young Comets in the final quarter, Raptors’ experience held firm to seal the win.
In the second game Rivers Hoopers powered to an emphatic 84-58 victory over Hoops & Read in a tough battle.
The first quarter was tightly contested, with Hoops & Read edging ahead 17-15. But Hoopers flipped the script in the second, dropping 22 points to take a 37-31 lead into halftime.
Hoops & Read struggled badly after the break, losing their balance as Hoopers dominated the third quarter 29-15 to stretch the lead to 66-46.
Hoopers then sealed the win with an 81-point finish in the final quarter, closing out a commanding 84-58 victory.
