By Joseph Odoekwu, KSM

The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) Rev. (Amb) Samuel Ikpea has congratulated Hon. Frank Ilaboya on his appointment as Special Adviser on Grassroots Sports Mobilisation to the Edo State Government.

Ikpea, who spoke from the National Secretariat of Nigeria’s foremost Supporters club in Lagos, described the appointment as well-deserved and an inspiration to the Edo State sports community.

“This appointment is well-deserved and can be best described as putting a round peg in a round hole” Ikpea said.

“Ilaboya is a veteran journalist who has served as Edo State FA Chairman as well as in several other capacities.

His wealth of experience will be an asset to the grassroots sports development programme which the state government hopes to achieve.”

“Edo, which is the heartbeat of grassroots sports development in Nigeria, deserves an accomplished administrator and Ilaboya is one of those who can deliver,” Ikpea added.

Ikpea expressed optimism that Ilaboya will add quality to the existing sports structure in the state, assuring him of the full support of the NFSC family.

“The entire members of the NFSC are with him on this appointment, and we will always give him the support needed to excel in his new portfolio,” Ikpea concluded.
