Nigerian Boxing Stakeholders Celebrate Remi Aboderin @ 60
Nigerian boxing stakeholders have joined family, friends and associates in celebrating the 60th birthday of the Secretary of Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC) and President of the West African Boxing Union (WABU), Remi Aboderin, describing him as a remarkable personality and a valuable contributor to the growth of boxing in Nigeria and Africa.
President of the NBB of C, Dr. Rafiu Oladipo, described Aboderin as a “fantastic person with a heart of gold” in a birthday message issued to mark the milestone.
Dr. Oladipo praised the celebrant for his dedication, character and contributions to the development of boxing, while wishing him continued good health, happiness and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
Similarly, the Chief Executive Officer of De’Lad Boxing Promotions, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi, expressed gratitude to God for Aboderin’s life and his remarkable journey at 60.
Alabi described the NBB of C scribe as a blessing to the sport of boxing, not only in Nigeria but across the African continent.
He commended Aboderin’s passion and commitment to the advancement of boxing and prayed that God would continue to strengthen and guide him as he contributes to the growth of the sport.
The coordinator of the Progressive Professional Boxers Association (PPBA) of Nigeria, Idris Abiodun Afinni, also conveyed the goodwill and warm wishes of Nigerian professional boxers to the celebrant.
Afinni thanked Aboderin for his selfless service and unwavering commitment to the development of boxing, noting that his efforts had played a significant role in shaping the careers and fortunes of many Nigerian boxers.
He wished the WABU president continued success and fulfillment as he clocked the milestone age of 60.
The Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the NBB of C, Hon. Gbenga Opaleye, also felicitated with Aboderin on the landmark occasion.
In his birthday message, Opaleye prayed for divine guidance, greater wisdom and many more years of fruitful service for the celebrant.
The various goodwill messages reflect the high regard in which Aboderin is held within the Nigerian and African boxing communities, as stakeholders celebrate his 60 years of life and his enduring contributions to the sport.
