Abia Warriors acting chairman begins work on Umuahia stadium turf, vows to retain Coach Onuh

The acting chairman of Abia Warriors, Innocent Oweh has swung into action determined to see the team excel next season.

Oweh in a swift move has started the re grassing of the Umuahia stadium turf while also vowing to ensure Coach Erasmus Onuh remains with the club.

A competent source disclosed that the youthful chairman said what is needed to be done to ensure Onuh remains with the team would be done.

He noted that the gaffer led the club to their best ever performance this concluded season.

“Before the coming of Onuh Abia Warriors always struggled in the league but this year we finished fourth in the abridged league and missed the Super 6 by whiskers. So, Oweh is making sure Onuh remains with the club even if it means re negotiating his contract. He (Oweh) has also embarked on the re grassing of our turf…you can see the young man is determined to succeed,” our source said.
