Nigerian Wrestlers Depart For 3rd Ranking Series In Mongolia

As part of efforts to continue to create opportunities for Nigerian Wrestlers to compete at the highest level, the Nigeria Wrestling Federation has registered its presence in this year’s 3rd ranking series in Mongolia with four wrestlers set to showcase their mettle on the global stage.
The team, which comprised four wrestlers, namely Genesis Mercy Miesinnei– 50kg, Ogunsanya Christianah Tolulope – 53kg, Kolawole Esther Omolayo – 62kg, and Ojo Damola Hannah- 76kg departed Nigeria on Monday night aboard Turkish Airlines.
Leader of the delegation, Akuh Purity, who is Nigerian women Wrestling coach as well as the chairman Technical committee in the board of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, lauded the President Nigeria Wrestling Federation for covering all logistics and participation arrangements for the team.
Purity described the support as beyond generous but a deliberate effort to ensure that wrestling continues to make significant success and impact on the global stage
“I want to on behalf of the athletes, and the entire wrestling community express our profound appreciation to the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR for his unwavering support, dedication, and commitment to the welfare of Nigerian wrestlers.
“His contribution continues to create opportunities for athletes to compete at the highest level and showcase Nigeria’s talent on the global stage.” Purity stated.
Coach Purity noted further that the team will fight to earn points to establish their world ranking and secure top seeds for World Championships, assuring the NWF President of a good show in Mongolia
