As Muslims across the globe mark the holy celebration of Eid-Al-Adha, also known as Sallah, the Nigeria National League (NNL) has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the Muslim faithful.
In a goodwill message, the Chairman of the NNL board, Mr. George Aluo, congratulated all Muslims and emphasized the deep spiritual significance of the occasion. He called on adherents of the faith not to lose sight of the lessons behind the celebration — sacrifice, obedience, and faith.
“This is a very significant period for our Muslim brothers and sisters,” Aluo stated. “The occasion of Eid-Al-Adha reminds us of the great sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim, which symbolizes total submission, tolerance, and willingness to obey divine instruction.”
He further urged Muslims to continue to uphold the values of love, unity, and kindness during and beyond the festive period.
“We celebrate our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters on this auspicious Feast of Sacrifice. I urge them to keep their faith strong, continue to trust in the Almighty Allah, and extend love and generosity to one another,” he said.
“On behalf of the entire NNL board, I wish all Muslims a delightful Eid-Al-Adha, and may Allah’s blessings be abundant upon us all.”
