NNL: It’s Heartland versus Crown in 2026/2027 season opener

Heartland FC of Owerri will do battle with Crown, Ogbomosho in the NNL season opener on October 31 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.

This fixture was confirmed at the NNL Annual General Meeting (AGM) which took place Friday (today) at the Rockview hotel Owerri.

Heartland tutored by Nigerian soccer legend Emmanuel Amuneke would contend with top clubs like Remo Stars and Edel Fc in Conference A of the Most Important League for the group’s sole ticket.

The colorful Owerri AGM was graced by governor of Imo State ably represented by his Chief of Staff Barrister Nnamdi Anyaehie and state  Sports Commissioner Obinna Onyeocha.
