Engr. Monsur Akanbi, the South-West Coordinator on the board of the Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF) has been honoured in Lagos after he was presented with a certificate of Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers (FNICE) recently.
The award by the professional body is regarded as one of the highest honours bestowed on members who have shown exceptional leadership and contributed to the development of civil engineering in the country.
His fresh confirmation as one of the best in the field sparked a wave of excitement among his colleagues.

As a result, the former Lagos State Scrabble And Monopoly Association chairman who is well recognised as an embodiment of knowledge, was celebrated by the General Manager and Management staff of Engineering Services Department, Lagos on his professional elevation.
At the brief ceremony, colleagues rallied round their Director of Infrastructure, Engineering Services Department as they took pictures with some air of gladness over the success.

His present achievement in the department reflects his dedication to the engineering field while also projecting the level of standards and excellence in the department and the civil service in general.
Engr. Akanbi who is widely regarded as a ‘Scrabble Scientist’ superintendent over the first to be held this year the South-West Scrabble Tournament under his leadership in Ile Ife while there are plans to introduce two additional tournaments in the zone.
This unprecedented interventions is seen as observers as a critical way of deepening the mind game.
