Olympic body condoles Sunday Dare on death of mum
Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), has offered his deepest condolences to Mr. Sunday Dare, the immediate Minister of Sports, and his entire family on the passing of Mrs. Ruth Olanihun Dare, his beloved mother.
She died on Feb. 29, 2024.
A statement by Tony Nezianya, Public Relations Officer on behalf of the Committee notes: It is with a heavy heart that we receive this news, and we join you in mourning the loss of such a remarkable woman.
”Mrs.Dare, 92 was not only a devoted mother but also a pillar of strength and kindness within her family, community, and nation.
”Her life was a testament to grace, compassion, and unwavering dedication. We recognize her immense contributions and the positive impact she has had on countless lives.
”Her passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
”During this difficult time, we want you to know that you are not alone.
”The NOC stands with you at this moment, offering our support and condolences.
”May you find solace in the memories you shared with your late mum, Mrs. Dare and may her legacy continue to inspire and guide you.”
