Givers Embassy to open Lagos Church on Sunday

Givers Embassy Church, reputed as the only church in Nigeria that does not collect offerings and tithes will be opening it’s Lagos worship center at the NUT Pavilion, Alausa, Ikeja on Sunday July, 30th, 2023.
According to the General Overseer of the Church Dr. Edward Olutoke, the Church which was first established in 2017 in Abuja is out to fill the spiritual needs of members, offer help to them by empowering them and avoid the general practice of Pastors taking away from their congregation to live in affluence while majority of their members wallow in poverty.
He explained that it’s an aberration that instead of churches imitating the early missionaries who built schools and hospitals where people pay little or nothing to enjoy their services, present day churches in the country are only interested in playing on the intelligence of their members, manipulate them into parting with their money why they benefit nothing from the church, positing that Givers Embassy is out to correct the anomaly and be of help to members whom they intend to bring out of poverty.
“At Givers Embassy, we believe in redefining the traditional concept of church, embracing a holistic approach that addresses the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of our congregation.
“Our vision is simple yet powerful: to be a beacon of light and hope in the lives of individuals and communities. We strive to create an atmosphere where people can experience spiritual growth, find purpose, and unlock their full potential. Our ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on society by empowering individuals to live meaningful, fulfilled lives.
” When one look back, you will discover that early missionaries built schools and hospitals which the poor masses had access to but unfortunately, schools and hospitals owned by different churches is out of the reach of their poor members whose offerings and tithes were used to establish these facilities.
” Today, you’ll see a lot of Pastors buying private jets with fleet of cars in their garages while their members wallow in poverty and this is what Givers Embassy is out to correct”, he explained.
Olutoke who also doubles as President of Ikeja Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture further explained that apart from opening the Lagos branch, the church also known as ‘Poverty Fighters’ will on that day unveil it’s Employment Academy which is a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering individuals with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in the job market. Through practical training sessions, mentorship programs, and partnerships with businesses, the academy seeks to equip participants for successful career paths while they are being supported with N30,000 monthly stipend.
Also on that day, Ikeja branch of the ‘Blessed Fruit Foundation’ for widows and orphans founded by Prof. Sola Fosudo will be unveiled.
This charitable organization is dedicated to providing support, education, and essential resources to vulnerable individuals within the community, especially widows and orphans.
Unveiling of “Big Jesus Naija” ; Talent Hunt and Reality Show will also take place. The “Big Jesus Naija” promises to be an exhilarating showcase of talent, creativity, innovations and inspiration. This talent hunt and reality show will provide a platform for aspiring artists, singers, dancers, innovators and entertainers to display their gifts, gain exposure, and compete for exciting prizes.
Olutoke further noted that Givers Embassy has rapidly gained recognition as a unique spiritual community, promoting a message of giving, love, leading of the Holy Spirit and empowerment.
“The church’s distinctive approach to worship emphasizes the importance of giving back to society while relieving its members from the burden of compulsory tithes and offerings just as he noted that the church stands on the divine tripod of three scriptures namely; Isaiah 43.21, Luke 4.18 and John 14.26.
