Onuachu’s late strike gives Eagles maximum points

By George Aluo

Paul Onuachu’s late strike was all the Super Eagles needed to land in Cameroon for the Nations Cup in grand style as they beat Benin Republic by a lone goal in Porto Novo.

Onuachu finished up Osimhen’s effort after the shot of the Napoli forward was spilled by the Beninoise keeper.

The encounter was one in which the Eagles dominated play and deserved to win.

The Eagles had before the match booked a place in Cameroon after Lesotho and Sierra Leone played out a goalless draw in Maseru.

Eagles would on Tuesday host Lesotho in what would now be a formality game at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos.
