Morocco 2022: Oshoala needs to show more commitment -Osim

Ex international, Bob Osim has declared that Super Falcons Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshoala must show more commitment if the team is to do well out there in Morocco.

Osim noted that Oshoala’s failure to deliver upfront affected the team in their 1-2 loss to South Africa on Monday night.

In his words…”I am totally disappointed with Oshuola’s performance. She’s not committed at all and by her standard and level of exposure at club football one expects more from her. She needs to lift the team.”

Osim who in 2003 and 2004 won the CAF Champions league back to back with Enyimba noted that the Falcons are not bad and could still get the job done in Morocco if Waldrum adopts the right strategy in their subsequent games.

“The team I saw against South Africa is not bad. Coach Waldrum should strengthen the defense formation, the recovery and coverage is slow. And in the attack he needs an aggressive striker that can deliver the goals…”

The Super Falcons would on Thursday face debutants Burundi and in their last group game face another debutants Botswana in a group they are favored to emerge alongside South Africa.
