Spain crowned World Cup champions after beating Messi’s Argentina

The match was decided inside the magnificent MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Spain held on to seal their second FIFA World Cup title, adding to their 2010 triumph and becoming the first nation to simultaneously hold both the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup crowns.
