PWA’s partnership with Brussels Young Wrestling style, timely – Olukoya


After a working relationship agreement was signed in Brussels, the Belgian Capital on Friday 15th March 2024 by the management of Pro -Wrestling Africa (PWA) and the authorities of the Brussels Young Wrestling Style under the auspices of the Belgium Pro Wrestling Federation both run by “Shaolin Showman” Simba Batote, the two international bodies are excited about the timely working relationship taking them both to the next level.

The timely agreement will enable Pro- Wrestling Africa (PWA) to bring professional wrestlers from Nigeria as well as other African nations to Belgium for training, championships and international events thereby showcasing the African warriors.

The Secretary General of the Pro- Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya who met with and signed the agreement was super excited about this development and he said: “We at the Pro -Wrestling Africa that currently runs in 22 African nations have been looking for opportunities of this magnitude to showcase our talents to the world and this timely privilege is of paramount importance to us’’.

“BYWS/ BPWF as organizations under an umbrella are one of the greatest wrestling federation driving the catch business in Belgium and we sincerely appreciate that.

As history was made in Brussels, Belgium on Friday 15th March 2024 at the office of the Belgian professional wrestling organization, Pro -Wrestling Africa (PWA), the apex body of professional wrestling sport in Africa met with and signed a contract of working agreement with the management of the Belgium Pro- Wrestling Federation under the auspices of the legendary Congolese “Shaolin Showman” Simba Batote who runs the Belgium Wrestling Federation (BPWF) and the famous Brussels Young Wrestling Style (BYWS) the academy that produces the talents for Shaolin in Karate, Judo and professional Wrestling.

Pro -Wrestling Africa as an organization was inaugurated in Yaoundé, Cameroon on the 4th February 2015 and the continental body has really impacted the grunt and groan game in Africa as a force to be reckoned with.

It is indeed for us at PWA a great pleasure to work with and partner with the first veteran to be inducted into the Belgian Wrestling Pantheon who is a figure in Brussels sport; a trainer of several generations of pro -wrestlers in Africa and Belgium who was also a multiple champion in Congo DR, a former Lucha Libre champion, a one-time intercontinental champion and a former Belgian champion.

“I am super excited to work with PWA as I felt it is high time we bring Africans on board of international professional wrestling. Africa as a continent where I also hail from is not doing badly just that promotion wise, managerial level and showcasing of wrestlers, the continent still have a lot to learn and PWA as the mouthpiece of Africa wrestling is our best bet’’ explained Shaolin Master.

“We are set and ready to support the promotion and advancement of professional wrestling in Africa to what is obtainable internationally” Shaolin concluded.
