Chelsea prove too much again for Man City

For the second time in their last two meetings, ‘Blue hot’ Chelsea proved too much for Man City as they beat Pep Guardiola’s side 2-1 at the Etihad.

Chelsea had only last month defeated City by a lone goal in the semi final of the FA Cup, a result that stopped City’s quadruple chase.

Both teams are billed to meet again in the UEFA Champions League final later this month (May 29) in Istanbul, Turkey.

Chelsea came from behind to win today’s game with goals from Ziyech and Marcos Alonso doing the magic. Ziyech struck in the 63rd minute with Alonso’s goal coming deep in added on time…92nd minute. City took the lead in the 44th minute courtesy of Raheem Sterling’s effort, only for Sergio Aguero to throw away a 46th minute that would probably had put the game beyond Chelsea.
