Egbe charges Lagos State Govt on maintenance of Mobolaji Johnson Arena

Renowned football pitches construction expert , Ezekiel Ebi Egbe has passionately pleaded with the Lagos State Government not to joke with the maintenance of the playing pitch of the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
The stadium effectively hosted games of the Nigerian Premier League Super 6 play off and have been the official training ground of the Super Eagles ahead of the AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone before complains in some quarters cropped up in a section of the media.
Ebi Egbe, MD/CEO of Monichelle has laughed off the complaints, stating emphatically that the pitch constructed by Monichelle is in perfect shape and only need standard maintenance to sustain the high quality job.
“We professionally laid the pitch with very quality materials and we trust that it will last for a very long time, particularly if the right people handle the maintenance.
“Our reputation is at stake and it is our duty to give the right advice and solution. The stadium has been very busy since the Aisha Buhari Women Football Cup till the just ended NPL super 6 playoff. So it is very necessary to retain the quality through professional maintenance by those noted for quality”, explained Ebi Egbe who revealed that standard fibers and other materials were used.
As far as the Monichelle boss is concerned, Nigerians must embrace the maintenance culture towards having quality facilities wherein top sports men and women could be discovered and nurtured to stardom
Ebi Egbe said that those criticizing the pitch does not have clear reasons to do so as quality materials were professionally laid from the beginning to the finishing point.
“By the way, who are the players or stakeholders complaining about the pitch, can we have their names? What is the pedigree of those criticizing? As far as I am concerned, they are sponsored individuals that are against progress.
“No serious minded person would play down the high quality pitch of Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena”, concluded the business mogul who enjoined the Super Eagles to enjoy their training and also defeat the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in Sunday’s AFCON qualifier in Monrovia, Liberia.
