The Super Falcons on Thursday eliminated England from the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and qualify for the quarter-final after recording a 3-0 victory over the Europeans in the Round of 16.
Tosin Rafiu got the game going in favour of the Nigerians after she scored the first goal in the 8th minute.
Striker Janet Akekeromowei would double the lead in the in the added minutes of the first -half in the 47th minute to put the 2010 finalist in control before the break.
In the second-half the youngsters completed the rout in the 73rd minutes as Mary Mamudu confirmed their place in the quarter-final.
Coach Moses Aduku’s girls will now meet the winner between host Poland and Colombia in the quarter-final slated for Sunday by 2pm (WAT) at the Miejski Stadium in Lodz.
