UPU Overseas salutes new ISTDAL president

Chairman of Houston Branch (USA) of Umuohiagu Progressive Union (UPU) Overseas, Chief Raphael Chuks Iyeh says he is on cloud nine over the emergence of Agu Chris Ekeocha (Onwa) as the new president of Imo State Town Development Association, Lagos (ISTDAL).
Iyeh in a telephone chat with newstap.com.ng from his Houston, USA base said Ekeocha’s victory was heart warming, even as he described him as a worthy ambassador of Umuohiagu Autonomous Community that would take ISTDAL to greater heights.
“We have a worthy ambassador in our brother Chris Ekeocha. On behalf of Umuohiagu Progressive Union Overseas, I say congratulations to him. Anybody who has followed his antecedents would know that he is a man that can deliver. ISTDAL has elected a president that would take the association to greater heights and I m proud of his achievements which would no doubt rob off positively on Umuohiagu Autonomous Community,” Iyeh stated.
He charged Ekeocha to remain focused and ensure that he lives up to expectations of those who elected him.
“On our part, we will support him with prayers, so that God will bestow him with wisdom which every leader needs to succeed.”
