Former Nekede Poly Sports Director, Agwamba passes on

A former Director of Sports at The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Dr Amos Agwamba has passed on.

Agwamba, a renowned sports administrator passed on in Owerri early this week.

Agwamba who retired from the Polytechnic some years back had been a serving match commissioner in the Nigerian professional league.

Agwamba was in heyday an active FIFA badged referee. He was a former image maker of the Nigeria referees body, NRA.

A member of the Imo Referees council, Martin Eke said yesterday that referees in Imo and the entire Imo football family are in deep shock over the sudden demise of Agwamba who he described as a colossus.
