2027: Mbamara Heads Imo Big Tent Coalition for Peter Obi/Kwankwaso Presidential Campaign

Chief David Mbamara, a distinguished Nigerian politician, has been appointed the Imo State Coordinator of the Big Tent Coalition, a coalition of support groups working towards the election of Mr. Peter Obi and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as President and Vice President, respectively, in the 2027 general election under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mbamara, an astute and experienced politician, is well versed in political campaign organisation and coordination, having previously contested elective positions in Imo State, including the governorship election.
The newly appointed Coordinator has assured members of the coalition and various support groups of an inclusive leadership, reiterating his commitment to carrying everybody along in the collective pursuit of the presidential project.
The Ochiagha of Iho Dimeze in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, as he is popularly known, passionately advised supporters of the Peter Obi/Kwankwaso presidential ambition to work as a united team and embrace one another with brotherly love.
He cautioned against unnecessary bickering, wrangling, abuse and the tendency to pull one another down within the campaign organisation, noting that the enormous task ahead demands unity of purpose, discipline and sacrifice.
The political icon also disclosed that he has commenced consultations with other critical stakeholders and supporters of the Obi/Kwankwaso presidential project with a view to building a formidable and effective campaign structure across Imo State.
Mbamara further re-emphasised the need for integrity, transparency, patriotism and accountability, which, according to him, are the core values represented by the principals of the presidential project.
According to the former military intelligence officer-turned-politician, “Winning Imo State for the Peter Obi/Rabiu Kwankwaso presidential mandate, as well as securing victory for all the candidates of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, is a task that must be fulfilled. We have done it before, and we will definitely do it again.”
He assured supporters that with unity, commitment and proper coordination, the coalition would emerge as a formidable force in the political landscape of Imo State ahead of the 2027 general election. This is very good and speaks to the point.
